Yes I have. Iwas very interested to see past the obvious immigration issues and see what they felt was the right way forward. Firstly, giving priority to british manufacturers for defence contracts and national projects is a good start. But i felt it starts to fall apart when they say they would isolate Britain and its currency. This would devastate the economy as we could never be as competetive as we'd need to be to keep the economy stable. I'm with them all the way on the immigration and preferntial contracts for british industry, but they must realise that even the pound as part of the EU will struggle, isolated, the country would lose the battle against inflation in a matter of years. Also, we would lose our voice in the UN if the indepndnece of the Uk went to the lengths they propose. They make solid advances in local government every year due to voter apathy and being the only party devoted to keeping our country ours. But, a real alternative to the current government? Not yet.

Yes, and I disagree with every word that they say.
Encouraging the Irish republic to come back into a union with the rest of Britain? Really, would they want to? And what would happen if they said no?
Denying votes to those who can't do national service?
Every time the BNP has stood in a general election the voters have rejected them. Now accept that - a party that blames immigration for everything, even the bad weather, will not get very far.

I live in Cumbria and there has been an influx of BNP reps to the local area......Local elections........They did lose. My comment is that this country needs a party that is going to deal with immigration, British way of life etc etc and be honest however the BNP has got such a bad name it will never change people's views as they are portrayed as racist bigots.....I think that nearly everyone is so dissatisfied with the present system that any party with half an ounce of credibility would succeed........Get rid of the silly PC brigade and let us feel as if we are part of a GREAT Britain again. I am not racialist and feel that everyone should respect each other no matter what colour or creed HOWEVER not at the loss of our own identity......Yes come to Britain but share in our way of life and not enforce your rules on us...respect each other and our individual heritage but not to bleed the country due to massive influx of individuals that are here, yes for a better way of life, but do not appreciate but expect it automatically as a right......

Hmmm, hows about no. The BNP is feeding on the fear of the white working class. Britain is a mongrel nation and has been for hundreds of years, yes there is a need to have more rigorous controls in immigration and to ensure that migrant communities integrate into the wider society.....But bigotry is not the answer.

Yes I have. I like to be informed before I make a judgement on any party.
I like some of their ideas (their views on housing, employment, education, asylum and immigration) but others (bring back the death penalty and birching, having Eire back as part of the UK) just seem ludicrous and unworkable.

no. i cannot read words. however, i must say that the issue has become clouded with unnecessary rubbish since Mrs Thatcher left the office. As the NF it began as a response to unequal rights regarding british workers and businesses...eg: the right to fish our waters if you are from Jamaica, but take away british quotas. Today it is rubbish and lacks direction. Vote GREEN please.

OK. So here's some facts:
BNP constitution describes the party as "committed to stemming and reversing the tide of non-white immigration". That would make them racist in my book. And if you think that it is a normal opinion to want a person out of your country because of their skin colour then you're twisted and disturbed.
Couple of other facts:
Nick Griffin has been on TV calling Islam a "wicked, vicious faith"
In 2006, the party's deputy chairman Scott McLean was shown on the TV documentary "Nazi Hate Rock" making Hitler salutes at a white-supremacist cross-burning ceremony where intensely racist songs were sung and jokes made about Auschwitz .
What lovely people!

Yes , I've been through the BNP manifesto with a fine tooth comb. Its a brilliant source of ammunition for their opponents to use against them.
Their manifesto is a mixture of nasty, ludicrous and unworkable policies which are dressed up in reasonable sounding language, clearly designed as a smokescreen for their true agenda of hate and fear as set out in their constitution.
As far as immigration is concerned, their policies are little more than a thin disguise for their true agenda. In a feeble attempt to rid themselves of their racist image, they now say they will give "firm but voluntary incentives for immigrants and their descendants to return home", implying that they will make peoples lives so miserable that they will want to leave the country themselves. This is of course, simply double talk to disguise their true agenda of Apartheid and ethnic cleansing.
In their mission statement, they describe "indigenous Britons" as "people whose ancestors were the earliest settlers here after the last great Ice Age and which have been complemented by the historic migrations the Celts, Anglo-Saxons, Danes and Norse".
That either means they want to repatriate everyone who's ancestry doesn't date back further than the Norman Conquest, or it is a not very cleverly disguised way of saying your OK as long as your white.
The BNP have absolutely nothing constructive to add to the debate on immigration, and simply use peoples worries about it as a way of duping them into supporting the BNP's xenophobia, bigotry and racism.
As far as their other policies are concerned, their isolationist policies on foreign trade and general relations with other countries would make Britain into a pariah state (leaving the EU, leaving the Commonwealth, ending the special relationship with the US, curbing foreign trade and ending foreign aid).
Their law and order policies are designed to promote fear rather than order (death penalty, birching, holding entire families responsible for the crimes of individuals),
Their policy of compulsory National Service, with all who refuse losing the right to vote, would tie our highly trained troops up with training hundreds of thousands of unwilling raw recruits, and would result in a large portion of the population being disenfranchised.
Their policy of repealing the ban on private ownership of firearms would allow any nutcase who took the notion to repeat massacres like Dunblane
Their economic policies are naive to the point of stupidity. Their pledge to abolish income tax might sound attractive initially, until you realise they claim they can fund their entire programme from money saved by cutting foreign aid (a drop in the ocean compared to income tax revenue). Admittedly their anti-Capitalist and anti-free trade stance could be attractive to some people on the far left of politics, but since the rest of their policies are aimed at the far right they do seem rather incongruous to say the least.
The only other party I can think of in history who had such a mixture of far right and far left policies were the German National Socialists, i.e. the Nazis.
I think its becoming clear that an increasing number of people are deciding to find out more about what the BNP really stand for, and as they do so, the BNP's support falls away.
Recent opinion polls have shown support for the BNP falling significantly from its already low level. That in itself should tell you that the BNP's aims and policies are totally unacceptable to the vast majority of decent, fair minded people in the UK.
