Good question. Supposedly, gravitation is a property of matter. According to Einstein mass distorts 'space-time' rather like a ball bearing would dimple a soft membrane.

Gravity is not a property of the center of the earth, but (according to the current theories) a property of the sum *mass* of the earth. If you were able to survive at the center of the earth, you'd find yourself weightless (though, of course, not massless).

Gravity is considered the distortion of space by mass. The exact particle that transfers gravity and how it fits into the overall construction of the universe will win a Nobel Prize for the one who reports it - major experiments are underway to detect gravitons and gravity waves.
For the time being, gravity exists because IT is there - IT being mass. You generate gravity and it is possible to measure the force of gravity by hanging large lead weights from thin wires and measuring how they move toward each other.

gravitational force is due to the prescence of closed strings which present in all matter.the fact that gavity is so week because these strings cantravel through different branes .

each planet had gravity, therefore gravity pulls everything down, the bigger the planet the more the gravity, i dunno the other part of your question
