what would you do i have been going out with a guy called paul for like 2 years on and off i reali love him and prepared to do anything last sat nyt his daughta got dumped on him and he has got to bring her up for 20 years cuz her mum in prison paul wants me to be her mum and so do i do but why do i feel so bad it was only yesterday that we all went to derby to buy her clothes and equipment her bedroom has been painted and her toys have been put in and she called me mummy should i let her call it me i am totally confused and i think she is bringing me and paul closer i have got pregnant with him twice but ive had one abortion and miscarriage. i was prepared to give all hope on kids till she came along. i do love her but i need help please help me XXXXXXXXXXXX im 16 and paul is 25

Oh I wish I had the book of answers to share with you but all I have is a few more years (ok so nearly 20) of life experience. You are so young and have plenty of time to raise a family of your own. This little girl needs people in her life who will care for her and love her. I do not doubt that you love her and can care for her but worry that you may resent this in your future when you look back. Her dad is the one who is responsible for her and while he is still quite young himself he should be asking his family for support. Whether you decide to stick with him and his daughter or not make sure you think about what is right for you because this is your life, you only have one and it is no dress rehearsal.

K first off, and I'm sure you know this, that's illegal, and second if you love this girl let her call you mom. It is SO important for a little girl to have a mom figure in her life and it helps if she can call you that. And another thing your 16. Unless the doctors have told you you can't have kids, you are way too young to be giving up hope about having kids.

wow. u r young...U r sad because U r feeling the lose of Ur 2 pregnancies... if this is what U feel U want 2 do then U need 2 accept Ur feelings...Ur body will heal & U will be able 2 have kids when Ur body gets older & healthier enough 2 carry them. good luck.

You are too young for this kind of responsibility. Plus you are underage when it comes to having sex, so he could go to jail too. He's just irresponsible for putting you in these positions.
Sorry pet, but you don't 'love' him, not really. You just think you do because he 'loves' you - or something. He pays you attention. You're only 16, love, plenty of time to be thinking about having children - you have until your mid-forties, biologically speaking. Plenty of time for happy, healthy and successful pregnancies with men who don't take advantage of your youth and inexperience, and who really care about you and your well-being.
Where are your own family in all this, what do they think? If they don't approve of your relationship with him to begin with, well, I can't say I blame them. They won't be happy to hear about this stepdaughter development either. That child's own grandparents should be taking care of her, as I said, it's not your responsibility.

I hate to be the bringer of bad news but do you realise he can go to jail for sleeping with you. You are a minor in the eyes of the law and he is an adult. It is statuary rape. Sorry
