Are you taking any fertility drugs?? Clomid + Metformin usually help out a lot of women. My dr waited four months on Metformin before introducing Clomid. Your doctor will usually try 3-5 cycles of this combo before going IUI unless your partner has a low sperm count. If that's the case then IUI will be your best bet to conceive. Some women with PCOS also find that Femara works better since there are less side effects that Clomid. (Side effects vary from woman to woman) Good luck to you!!

Have you also taken Clomid? if not, they may want to monitor you on Clomid and let you try at home for a month or two before jumping right into IUI.

I took Metformin alone for one month, and then with Clomid one month..the month I took Clomid is when I conceived..but I did notice the metformin did regulate me a bit in that short time. ( I had bleeding issues)

also, before the specialist I took Clomid at 50mg on days 5-9..didn't do much at all.. 100 mg days 3-7 had a lot of follicles (mature ones) and I conceived.

Lots of luck! Baby Dust!

I have been on the metformin for almost a year. Nothing for me as well. But the best advice I could give is do what they say. Has dad gotten his sperm checked? Did you do that HSG thing. There is really nothing else but wait. That's the best. But I wish you the best. PCOS has changed so many things. Take your time. Try the combo thing.

Your dr will most likely make you wait 1yr on Metformin before considering IUI.
I have PCOS and tried for almost 3yrs for our second child, metformin did it for me.
You might want to ask your dr about the Clomid/Metformin combo. Good luck!
