I don't think so. There are several people on here that have given a reason however so weak, it's their own weak minds that prevents the union.
In 1947 the Palestinians started a "hate issue" and went so far as to make a plot with Hitler to eradicate the Jews and, so, to bring them to one place so it would be easy for Nazi Germany to do the evil deed and, then the Germans would give Israel to the Palestinians, the British took away.

The plot failed, the Germans weren't interested when they went into Poland, that saved the Jews and bought them time. The British held on to Israel for about about year then ceded it to the Jews. That's when the trouble started.

Palestine was nothing more then a collections of adobe waddles, the Palestinians were nomads and didn't have a "town" per Se, or city. The Jews made it what it is today.

They have sat down at the table three or four times with the Palestinians more then several time, it's all fallen apart, mostly due to the greed of the Palestinians.

They can say what they will, it's all part of history now and, as for being killers, they fight back, wouldn't you? if rockets were fired into your home, wouldn't you fight back?

Funny how the onus is always placed on the Israelis. It's entirely up to the Palestinians as to whether they are prepared to compromise, back down from their extremist, maximalist demands, and stop murdering Israeli civilians.

There have been numerous opportunities for Palestinians to agree to a state or build one, including the Peel commission report in 1937, the UN Partition plan of 1947, and the Camp David Summit of 2000-- all would have given the Palestinians a state, all were rejected by the Palestinians in favor of violence. Oslo gave them increased sovereignty, and Israel's withdrawal from Gaza in 2005 gave them a premium opportunity to show the world they could actually run even a small part of a country. Instead they established corrupt thugocracies and continued or increased attacks on Israel.

Israel has moved to the middle over the past decades, willing to engage with terrorist organizations it once swore it would never talk to. Even the "hard line" Likud governments have negotiated with the Palestinians and agreed that there will be a Palestinian state--once anathema to the Israeli right. The "right wing" Sharon unilaterally withdrew from Gaza.

On the other hand, the Palestinians have become more violent and more extreme with increasing autonomy. They have not moderated their demands at all. They still insist on the return of Palestinians to Israel, which would mean the end of the Jewish State. It is the height of arrogance to demand a Palestinian state AND Israel too. Second, it shows the Palestinians/Arabs are still intent on Israel's destruction. These are not people who are sincere about living in peace, side by side with Israel.

If Palestinians were really interested in a state, things would be very simple. Stop. Murdering. Israelis. Spend the millions of dollars in European and American aid on building homes and schools and stores and nonviolent infrastructure, instead of diverting it to weapons or hate filled propaganda or indoctrination camps for 6 year olds (or depositing it in Swiss bank accounts). The world is falling all over itself to give the Palestinians money even though they misuse it. Imagine the funds that would flow in if they used it peacefully. If there were a real Palestinian partner, the Israeli center would elect a center/left government to do the deal.

The world is waiting for the Palestinians to step up. Israel is waiting for the Palestinians to show a desire to live in peace, instead of using every opportunity to further an interminable war of annihilation.

Blair would know the facts; Invested interests for an outcome tend to sway the talks. How could it not? When modern foundations are set down; Blair and men like him, were there. Who holds the blueprint in words and in lands( Blair and men like him) Who among us can change a landscape where the peoples feet do walk and their lives do grow,a king. Is Blair that king? maybe, maybe not. On behalf of the king of ( ). These persuasion's are secured.

I dont really know enough about the conflict to be fully informed but from what I do know I feel very badly for the Palestinians. We need to sort the conflict out there as this is where all the conflict started with Arabs.

Its wrong to accept Jewish rulers persecuting arabs in Israel. The Palestinians may be better of raising global awareness and campaigning against their own Jewish/Arab appartied system.

Difficulty is so much media in the Western world is backed and owned by Jews. However its not impossible to reach out to sympathetic westerners of which there are many

read this book and tell your friends to read it too, just released "the israel lobby and US foreign policy". Israel controls American foreign policy , so inevitable Palestinians will never get justice. the UN is a farce , Israel has broken more UN resolutions than Saddam ever did. Please research and you will find the truth is out there !!!

Unlikely at any time in the near future, though perhaps Blair can achieve what he didn't do when he was PM.

No, the Isrealis want to wipe out the Palestinians, mass genicide like the Nazi's did to them, they're like an abused child.

And Blair should keep the hell out of it.

We can only hope.

If they sort out the Palestinan problem, I would say that 80% pf the Middle East problems would be solved.

All we then have to do is stop the Yanks bombing everyone who disagrees with them and the world will be a much better place.
