Frame it up with her name so that everyone can see it when they are at your house lol Long term revenge. I can bet with you, when one mouth speaks, 5 people will listen and spread out to more people lol

Why do you want to seek revenge. Maybe she didn't have the money to buy a nice gift but didn't want to show up empty handed. Its all about Karma - if you buy her a $2.00 gift then you are worse than she is - if you buy her a nice gift then she will probably feel guilty anyways -

If she is a friend - then why are you fretting on this - get over it or don't be friends anymore.

I would be glad to get something from the $2.00 shop. I mean it's better than not acknowledging your birthday at all which is what my brother does every year.

Wow, I don't want to be mean but if you ask. Come to his/her birthday with 2 dollars in the envelope as a gift. Or 2 dollars gift card if they sell one. And if he/she is wondering why you did that. Simply tell him/her that, that is all you can afford.

It`s a gift you don`t choose it it`s simple polite gesture of respect that the other person wants to show you. It`s not important the price. If we measured everything in life wit money..........

You don't. You say thank you. accept the gift and be gracious for it.

Did it ever occur to you that may be all they could afford and simply want to show some gesture of friendship to you on your birthday?

I was thinking of telling you to regift it back, but maybe your friend didn't have the money for something else. Let it slide and be the better person.
