I am planning on moving down there from Ohio in the next month or two and was wondering what areas are nicer than others.
Thanks,

The vast majority of neighborhoods in Nashville are great places to live. Brentwood is considered more of a "new money" area, while Belle Meade is "old money". Areas near Radnor Lake and the Warner Parks are very desirable, and both of those places have great trails for hiking and jogging.

Belmont and Hillsboro Village are hip neighborhoods closer in. And the area around Vanderbilt University will always be prestigious, reckon.

I lived for years on Edmondson Pike, which was an area with inexpensive apartments and racial diversity, across the street from the cow pasture at a state agricultural facility!

the above answer is all true, PLUS remember that there are "suburbs" of Nashville. I live in Hendersonville whch is a great town about 20 miles north. Franklin is a "suburb" to the south. Anyway, there are SO many neighborhoods in addition to the ones listed above- Bellevue is nice, the Sylvan Park area is being renovated, Green Hills, Percy Priest area... and on and on- it's a big place! Try online the ForRent site and maybe you can get a better idea of the various neighborhoods OR contact the Chamber of Commerce for an info packet- they are happy to send it to you. Good Luck!!!- OH stay AWAY from the Dickerson Rd and Nolensville Rd areas!
