Some of my friends are Muslims and the fact that they are, that i'm not means nothing to us. We are friends because many things in common, from careers, similar tastes in books, music, outings, entertaining and cooking a nice meal when we can all sit together and relax. So when it comes to Muslims, my view is that (And i' can only speak about my friends) Are very good natured, witty and supportive of their other friends. When you need a shoulder to cry on ... They're there.

About Islam, and due to my friends who lent me the Koran. I think it is a religion based on charity, health of both mind and body and much more. sadly it has been misinterpreted by people using it as a reason to cause outrages, mainly in the USA and Britain. So thee people gave Islam and Muslims a very bad name. My friends read the Koran and pray daily, do not condone any terrorist outrages at all. if anything they wish those responsible were caught and jailed. They say Islam is a religion of peace and not terror attacks.

Myself,I have no problems with any religion except maybe devil worship. The trouble with Islam at the moment is that they are somewhat in the same position as the Roman Catholic Christians were in 300 years or so ago. The bigots are twisting the words of the Prophet in the same manner as the words of the Christian God were twisted in Europe, and for the same mean reason, to sieze power for themselves. The ordinary Muslims that I have met have mostly been ok, the few others have just been your run of the mill yobs, like anybody else's yobs.

I have no set ideas either, my son however would say he is bored to death of learning about them at school. He has been taught everything about the Muslim and Islamic faiths and nothing about Christianity over the past 4 years. I think its time that schools gave every faith an equal share of the curriculum.

I treat all religions the same:
Religion is just a man made creation that was devised by poor people. It has continued through the brainwashing of their children and then separated through different peoples into their specific own styles and wants. Religions and gods were in most cases just created to justify mans own inadequacies.

The world would be a better place without any religions and gods whatsoever.
The Bible and all other religions have only fueled hate and wars from the time of all their inceptions. As long as there are religions there will be wars.
There is not one good thing that has ever come from religion.
Its always resulted in someone having to die.

I am one, newly converted and I find Islam a direct and enlightening way to communicate with 'God'.

I abhor terrorism and extremists and people who make sweeping generalizations because not all muslims are the same. There are good and bad followers of all religions.

I do however concentrate on the messages I get directly for myself, in my dreams and my heart and question those words written by MEN and not Allah as they would have been manipulated, changed and interpreted differently each generation. I try to be good, generous, honest and kind.

A lot of people in all religions are hippocritical in that they'll preach their religion but not follow it to the lette themselves. islam is something you are born into or convert to, the rules are strict and they don't tolerate people converting out of Islam. I was born a 'Catholic' I had no choice but no one cared when I became Atheist or even when I finally converted to Islam, why? Why did no one care? Now I belong to a religion that cares and speaks a language I understand from my heart.

My view is that I should do a LOT more research, all the Muslim teachings and Sunni and Shi'ites differences escape me. I don't want to give a knee jerk opinion without really knowing all the facts of the religions. I AM SURE that Muslim extremists are dangerous people.

Most Muslims are good people just trying to get on with live like everyone else. Islam like Christianity can be twisted by evil , self righteous people into an evil religion. It can also , like Christianity be a very kind and generous religion.

I have many friends who are Muslim and they are very nice people. just like everyone else. Islam is not the hateful religion that some people make it out to be. actually take the time to find out about other faiths. It helps to break down barriers between us all
