Someone just gave me an answer to one of my questions & gave me their phone # & then said something in a foreign language. I remember when I 1st started out on Y!A I posted my cell phone # in a question because I was down & depressed & needed someone to talk to, & I got a violation notice, but I know not to do that again.

That and hammer2head on this question are the only questions I've seen with answers giving away phone numbers. Perhaps they're trying to reach the same level of popularity as Mike Jones.

Oh, that's happened plenty of times. A couple of these instances end up on sites like Unfriendable. I'm willing to bet that most of these idiots are harassed afterward.

I have never seen that done before. I see now that Hammer just did it, however 555 is not a valid area code so he did not post his correct phone number.

I saw it on the other question you posted & it would be dangerous to call anyone who posted their number. Plus, if you did they would get your number on caller ID. But hammer2dead posted a number that is a song from Tommy

Yes, I have seen people put down there phone numbers but sometimes i think it might be someone that they're mad at.

I think phone # can be given in the word format like zero zero one nine one six etc not in digital format.

Ive seen that but you never know if its real. I saw one person asks will you call this number just to see if anyone had guts to call her.
