here's the deal, there is no one threating Grossman for his position, I think that is way he thinks he doen't need to improve nor does he need to excell because he knows no one is gunning for his Job correct so he feels like he can do what ever. So what I'm saying is that if they had a QB like a Leak or maybe troy smith or a zabrazky gunning for Grossmans Job do you think Grossman will step up his game or is a QB like leak better.

i think alot of quarterbacks would be better than rex. i didnt see leak play at all in the pro's (preseason) so i dont really know about him, but they need to pick up someone to fill rex's spot. griese would be a good alternative for now, but he's not the long term answer. the reason rex is still the starter is because they want consistency at quarterback. but after that game i think lovie smith might have to take him out.

they should have jumped on leftwitch when he was available. i think he could have had a good fresh start in chicago and have a good defense to take the pressure off of him. but since they didnt they are stuck in a bind here. when i look around the league the best qb i could see for chicago would be derek anderson from the browns. he wont be the starter there for long and the bears could probably get him and not give up much. i think derek plays very good, he gets rid of the ball quickly, makes fast reads, and can make plays on his feet. but, that scenario is unlikely so my second canidate for grossmans replacement would be troy smith from the ravens. again i havent seen leak play yet so he may be a better fit than smith, but when i saw smith play in the preseason he looked far better than a fourth round pick. he is now third string and the bears could get him easily.

but really anyone at this point would be better than rex. i think rex does have a future in this league but not with the bears. the fans are already turning on him and he has lost all confidence in himself. they will probably put griese in this season and try to groom a young guy for next and start all over again.

They should have went after Leftwich when they had the chance. They should get in contact with somebody like Bledsoe.

The Bears have a serious QB issue, and they are not going to get it fixed this year. I am not sure there is anyone out there that is that good.

No. Leak will be another Florida washout just like grossman.

It wouldn't be Chris Leak replacing Rex...It would most likely be Brian Griese...possibly Kyle Orton...
