OMG lookout here it goes. I am from East TX near a small town called Palestine. It is the county seat of Anderson county so it had one of those big court houses wit the dome/steple ceilings. Well as a child knew that TX was huge and i thought America was in TX and the court house was DC and the fact that my mom had to go there "to register her car" i thought the President was going to throw her in jail.

Claustrophobia.
Mom would never come out of the grocery store while I waited in the car.
The big neighbor boy would tell my mother I flirted with his sister.
The adults would shame me if they knew how much I liked girls.

When I was a kid my older sisters had me believing that we had a pop machine on the roof of our house. I was afraid that it would get hit by lightning during a thunderstorm and I would no longer get pop to drink.

Being fried on the grill at my dad's restaurant. His employees would hold me over the burger grill and fry station.

I was afraid there was a little man in my wall. If I fell asleep then he would open a door in the wall and get me. I know it sounds really stupid now.
