Ships have air-conditioning too. For landed buildings I understand that the cooling system involves chillers. How about ships?

is same principal ,only difference is that on boat use water that boat sits in to cool compressor and on land based air conditioners they use air ..ie fans to cool like fridge,,freon gas is compressed through small aperture this causes coldness as it exits aperture this cold gas is pumped through radiator and then air is blown through cold radiator picking up coolness and presto cold air brrrrrrrrrrr
