It's difficult to say with any certainty, but the rise to super power level would have taken much longer (at the very least). Without WWII the World would not have recovered as quickly from the Great Depression and FDR's attempts in the US would have continued to be futile.

It's hard to say: we were "Isolationists" at the time. Our motto was "leave Europe to the Europeans" maybe that's what we should do today. Keep our noses in our own country?

Anyway, I guess it takes a large community to advance in it's world, all the countries of the world contributed toward something to achieve what we have today and, where we have gone, even the former enemy countries. We wouldn't have space travel without the German war machine, they were the ones that first incorporated rocket control and rockets. We have the genius of the Japanese. We have all contributed to the growth of the world so, I guess it go to show that we need each other.

usa become seen a potential because of the fact it defeat Spain in the in demand Spanish-American conflict in 1898, even however great Britain had the biggest colonial empire and become the main indutrialized usa in the international. usa didn´t quite become a superpower till the top of the 2d international conflict, whilst it agreed with the Soviet Union to deal Europe in 2 aspects of impact.

You could certainly argue that had the major powers of Europe and Asia not been bombed to the brink of destruction that they might have emerged as legitimate contenders.

But it's counter-factual. So anyone's guess is as good as anyone else's.

Why you ask about WW2?....Its not a reason of superpower,you should ask if USSR was ally of USA,would be USA now a superpower?...if Cold war never be
