If I want to ship a 30 lb package from the USA to Japan at a reasonable cost, how can I do it? DHL? UPS? A private shipping company? The USPS now only offers airmail choices...no more parcel post..it's too expensive. This has surely hurt small businesses that shipped internationally unless there is an alternative... Thanks.

PS: Is the USA the ONLY country that doesn't offer sea mail? Seems like we are just forcing people overseas to buy products elsewhere...

Check out mail forwarding services... google "mail forwarding". these guys are good if you need to outsource international shipping and store inventory http://www.bongous.com/shipping_cost_calculator.php

You can also look into freight forwarder specializing in Japan... if you ship to mult. countries thats prob not the way to go.
