The noise is caused by too much friction between the blades and windscreen. This could be caused by the motor of the blade being too high, but more likely a thin film of sticky substance which has coated the rubber, or glass. Give everything a good wash, particularly the folds of the rubber, with a grease removing cleaner such as washing up liquid and see if that helps. This can happen when resin from leaves or trees builds up. Hope this works. If it doesn't you could also try using a baby wipe on the rubber, which would leave a thin film of lubrication to break the surface tension.

As you say Your rubber blades are probably fine, replacing them will probably not help.
The problem is the angle and tension of the arm itself.
Depending on the type of arm you maybe able to adjust these yourself.
I had this very problem on a couple of Fords (Escort & Mondeo)
On both cars I spent ages trying to get te adjustment right and although I was able to improve things I could never cure the problem outright and had to buy new wiper blade arms.

Here is a little tip * when purchasing new wipers - when you 1st get them, and they are installed - use washer fluid, the same kind you put in your washer reservoir - wipe the blade clean with the washer fluid and lint free cloth.*
Do this once or twice a month, of course this will also depend on where the vehicle is driven etc etc ... may need to do it more often.
(( This also prolongs the life of your wipers !!! )))

Must be the mice got stuck in between the wiper and the windscreen.
It must be the spring with tight tensioner.
Just adjust it a little bit.

They are of the cheaper variety , were the rubber hardens and the edge does not turn into the direction of travel ,change them and the noise will disappear

The only reason WHY wipers "squeak"- is because the rubber has dried out & begun to crack. What you should DO, is GO to an autoparts store & have someone put NEW ones on -and try them out. And keep ON trying them out- until you get ones that WORK. YOUR "checking them"- doesn't matter. It's the Parts Store or Garage you go to- that's supposed to make SURE they work. Try it & see what happens. Good luck! :)

the reason why your windsheild wipers squeek is because the window is wet and everytime the rub against each other they make tat noise.
