If so, what do you remember about it, or them?

Do you own one or more of these three cars now?

Would you like to?

I once owned a 1964 CORVAIR MONZA, and a 1977 CHEVETTE.

The Corvair was a two speed dash mounted selector automatic with AC, fun and kinda fast for what it was.

The Chevette was a no AC, stripped down model with a 4 speed, slow, high interior noise and rode like a shopping cart.

Owned a 1980 "vette" with a 4 sp manual. The engine was tough as nails. Not a bad little car. Just got too small after a while. Remember, the Chevette was the first American car to use rack and pinion steering.

I owned a '63 Corvair Spyder turbo with a four speed stick. It actually drove very nice and decent power. I had the misfortune to have worked on some Vegas in the seventies -- worst cars I have EVER seen before or since. I can't imagine what Racer123 was drinking, smoking or inhaling to ever think that a piece of s*it Vega reminded him of a Ferrari(!!). Egad!

My 1st car was brand new that I bought (with my parent's co-signing)--a 1978 Chevette! Bright Blue Metallic (my favorite color!). 2-door hatchback. Put in some big 'ol speakers in the back so just lift up the rear hatch, positions the speakers and the party started. 5-spd., great mileage. 2nd car was brand new too--a 1986 Sprint! Another great car! 3-cyl., 5-spd., San Diego to L.A. and back on 3/4 of a tank of gas! Now cars are too expensive so I'm driving a 2000 Cavalier. Good car but I miss my Chevette--and my Sprint.

My "73 Vega GT Hatchback was a work of art from the outside in. The body was strong with a beautiful starburst blue paintjob. It had the GT rims on it with bright chrome rings and grill/taillight trim. The interior had blue-matched bucket seats and trim. The dash was spectacular with the chrome trimmed round guage package. The 4-speed tranny was a joy to shift.-(turns out that this tranny was the very same used in corvettes!),in those early years. The driving experience was quiet-(no rattles) and very sporty!-Ferrari comes to mind. The power brakes and air conditioning were subpurb. The Engine took a lot of abuse up until about the 70K mark afterwich I sold the car.Owning this car meant that I had to be willing to accept that the engine had to be replaced at 50K with no regret and yet I buncked this rule.My only regret is that I let this jewel slip away.

I had a white 1971 Chevy Vega when I was in high school. I graduated in 1972 so it was a new car back then. I loved it - liked the standard shift even. Wasn't very fast - struggled over 65 - but it felt fast since it was so low to the ground. When I went off to college the Vega stayed home for my dad to drive, but I still have fond memories of that little car.

We did have a used Corvair convertible for a little while, as a 0.33 motor vehicle. My husband bought it on a whim. i could desire to by no ability get the grasp of four speeds. i will force any 3 velocity standard transmission, yet had problems with the Corvair. I keep in mind that we gave it to somebody who relatively mandatory a motor vehicle. relatively, the Edsel seems exceptionally stable interior the link you provided.
