Using dogs to train them to fight is against the law---PROMOTING these fights is against the law, disposing of the dead dogs that pile up due to these illegal fights is against the law.... any IDIOT would know this is crueity to ANIMALS which by any means is against the law in the USA.....and SHOULD be.... and if MEXICO was so perfect, how come people have been sneaking INTO the USA FROM Mexico to the tune of over 2MILLION SO FAR????? Live here, obey the laws here.... can't ? THEN GO BACK TO MEXICO

What got him suspended from the league was the federal felony charges of running a dog fighting operation. He owned fighting dogs, financed illegal dog fights which he transported across state lines, organized dog fights in several states, and gambled on the dog fights in several states. All of which are federal crimes. The fact that he personally killed several of the dogs is the least severe of the charges he faces. Probably nothing more than a cruelty to animals charge. It is the financing and gambling of an illegal operation that will get him prison time.

He helped kill dogs that were not performing, but what got him in the most trouble with the NFL and the feds is the fact that he was gambling on the fights and financing the whole operation.

Really, he didnt do anything except get caught. OK so he killed a bunch of mean *** dogs that probably would have been killed anyway had the "humane" society gotten ahold of them. He was just a high profile football player doing what in America is illegal and they made a statement with him. Personally, I think its crap and hope to see him in the league again one day.
