Brian's career qb rating is 84.5. Tom Brady is only 89.2. Only 13 quarterbacks have a better rating this season than 84.5.
Rex Grossman's career rating is 71.1, and dropping fast. This season its much worse.
Doesn't this have to be driving Brian crazy?

Lustatfirstbite,
Grossman didn't take the Bears to the superbowl last year, they took him. When Tom Brady had been in the NFL as long as Rex has, he had WON 3 superbowls, and was MVP of 2 of them.

You could see it in his eye's in the game against the cowboys as they were chanting Griese, Griese. He had to be thinking, man coach, even the crowd knows it's time! Brian Griese has many tools that Rex doesn't. Field vision, the ability to move around the pocket, and the ability to fix his mistakes.
Thanks for posting this. It gave me a chance to vent!

It's debatable. Griese might have a better career rating, but he doesn't have the upside that Rex has. As I recall, Grossman had 7 games last year where his QB rating was over 100. And since he has only had one full season of starting in the NFL, and he took his team to the SuperBowl in that year, I think Griese will have to stay on the bench.

Griese could be in. they choose veteran impact genuine undesirable on that team. They don;t choose a great QB yet somebody like a Trent Dilfer to administration a activity and not make errors. Grossmam continues to be discovering and that i don;t think of completely waiting to take fee and make the offence huge open. i might hate to work out them get pummeled interior the playoff because of the inexperience at QB. this could be a undeniable season they are having and it ought to all circulate down the drain interior the playoffs if Grossman performs that way. i might hate to work out each and all the attempt wasted.

yes. griese should start next week.
if you saw grossman's press conf after the game, you saw a guy who is deluded. he said "we are not far off". he has 1 TD and 6 picks, he is in denial and doesn't take responsibility for his failures. he was horrible in the SB, he is maybe the worst QB in the league, while the bears otherwise have a decent team. it's not fair to the other players to keep running him out there, he takes away any chance of winning against an above avg team.
furthermore lovie smith is also an idiot, they can thank a weak conference, and a very easy schedule for making it to the SB last year, wont happen this year.

Of course it is. The fans were close to chanting his name after Rex threw the first pick. I am just unbelievably upset.

I think he's just happy he suckered somebody into paying his broke ***. Griese was a flash in the pan and just gets by riding his daddy's coattails.

No. He's probably happy. He gets a nice paycheck, Lovie's too stubborn to put him in the game so he can stay as drunk as he wants.
