Yeah, I think it's cheaper at some gas stations...but it usually costs like $3.70 at a store...and like $2.99 at the gas station across the street from my house. True.

Gas stations and convenience stores often underprice a few items to draw people in. Milk is one of those.
At the grocery stores here, milk is $4.10 a gallon. At most gas stations, it's around $3.50 - $3.75. At one convenience store nearby, there's currently a special running - 2 gallons of milk for $5.00. Can't beat that. That's where I've been getting milk for the past 2 weeks, and I think most everyone else has been too, given the people in line all hauling a couple gallons whenever I go in.

That is pretty weird! Last week I was getting nonfood items at the Dollar General and noticed that they had a refridge section so I got milk and it was a dollar cheaper than the Price Cutter. I'm in Missouri. Cheese really jumped in price so we went to a gourmet food/cheese store and stocked up on the nicer ones before their prices hit the ceiling. If all dairy is going to do this I will start making my own yogurt.
Best of luck to you!!

If I go to the tiny local shop, I pay almost $4. If I drive the 15 minutes (through the construction zone) down the mountain, I pay $2.70 a gallon.
Sometimes, though, it's worth the $4 to not have to go downhill.

4.36/gallon.
I used to buy the Organic Skim Milk rather than the regular but it's over 6.00/gallon for that so forget it...I'll take the hormones for the little amount of milk I drink.
