Hey all, I haven't purchased a new PC in 4 years and I'm finally going to suck it up and do it. My friend is giving me his geforce 7900GT because I can't afford a new one for at about 6 months but this is the rest of the thing (I have a large case and fans already). Let me know if this all looks good.

I know it's not the top of the line but I'm a college student on a budget and these parts all seem to be pretty good for the purposes of WoW, CS 1.6, Bioshock, Team Fortress 2, and hopefully Crysis (eventually I'll get a DX10 vid card).

Great gaming set up for a college student. Beats an old timer's set up like mine. Your rig is all prepped up for the exciting DX10 cards, deserves the Geforce 8800 series.
Just be sure to get a good and strong power supply, especially if SLI is on the horizon.

i like the system, just dont like the price on the intel chip and motherboard. i just thing that is too high. The video card will hold u for some time. u dont need to upgrade to a direct x10 card no time soon. most of the direct x10 games are for vista only. Right now vista is crap. wait till the first service pack.

yeap, you'll be fine with those.

WoW, CS and TF2, you'll play at highest settings just fine... as for bioshock, you should be getting decent dps at high im thinking, if not medium.

I have lower specs than urs and i play all those games at top FPS, except bioshock. bioshock i think i can play at decent FPS at medium.

granted though, i am using a slim ultraportable laptop. so you'll be just fine.

Good setup, but I would eliminating the sound card and put the money in a good sub woofer. The mobo has a good on-board sound.

To see how your system ranks, type in "compare gaming computer" on a search engine. You'll get some interesting results.

in case you will possibly be able to, build your individual computer, it is going to be a lot extra less expensive. in case you certainly choose for to purchase one, i ought to purchase the HP a6350z and choose the pronounced configuation versioin. it is going to be sufficient.
