IE error could be a number of things...
- Spyware and other malware on your computer.
- Something is wrong with a website you are visiting.
- Installing another program somehow damaged IE installation. (Try a reinstall.)
- A file is missing or has been moved.
First off, check your 'Event Viewer'... (this assumes you're using XP).
Go to 'Start'...'Run'...and type in 'eventvwr.msc' (without the quotes) and press 'Enter'. (or in the case of an earlier version.."Control Panel'..."Administrative Tools'...'Event Viewer'.)
In the left hand pane will be 3 categories (Application, Security, and System). Click on each one in turn while viewing the messages in the right hand pane.
You may need to right click on any Error message and select "Properties" to view the exact error message.
This worked for me, I was able to work out what was causing the problem from there.

You may need to go to Microsoft Windows site and get a free registry cleaner and run it. Also there are several anti spyware and adware programs you can use for free. Run a couple of these. Then unplug your modem and your computer for an hour or so. Try it again as usual and see if you get any weird messages. Go to the Super Anti Spyware site and ask for Technical Assistance if you continue to get junk coming up. They can, with your permission, look into your computer to locate the problem and they should have a program that will fix it for you. Best of luck to you!!

that could be alot of things but most likley had a virus probally gone now try updateing internet explorer worked 4 me after i got hijacked also get firefox you probally want more anti spyware and antivirus programs to since no single program finds it all at best they will find like 90% if youre lucky and get a good one for virus protection i would recomend Kaspersky or bitdefender if u dont mind paying. or for free avg, norton, Avira, or avast, of the free ones norton finds more but will SLOW youre computer down and u can only get it free in a bundle like the google pack bundle. others are free but cant use some tools but for free best protection would be norton if you pay the others are about even in quality. remember u cant have more than 1 antivirus app running at a time and they usually put themselfs on ure startup so they com on when windows starts beter to only choose 1 antivirus u can have tons of antispyware the more the better i have like 8 for antispyware i recomend if u dont mind paying spy sweeper,
spyware doctor, counterspy, and ad-aware for free avg, spybot search/destroy, windows defender and spyware blaster is a must i recommend if ure goin free get all the free ones on my list plus some ones u find through google but recearch it before u install it some pretend to be anti spyware but are actually spyware and check the ones u pay for some might have free trial or if u can edit windows regestry and dont mind takeing the time u can get them to work for free to dont try it unless u know what ure doin u can mess up ure computer hope this helps

Your virus is gone but you now probably have registry issues in your IE. Try downloading a newer version and reinstalling IE and you should be good.

WinFix is a known virus. Don't click on anything that claims it's protecting your computer, preventing pop-ups, or can eliminate spam.
