1. The Show
2. The Network that Airs the Show
3. The Point of the Show

I hate all reality shows. They are no different than the coliseum of ancient Rome.

Let's throw all of these strangers into a house, or on an island, or in a race together. Force them to compete for money and then laugh as they tear eachother apart!

"Reality Show" on television is in essence, impossible! One cannot have "reality" when the program is taped! Why don't people understand that?

For it to be a "reality" show, it would have to be live, and with a single camera. NO edits, no lighting crew, no sound people, etc.

My opinion? Crap.

I think they are horrible!
They exploit people, they have NO production values, and they bring out the absolute WORST in viewers.
They are remeniscent if the ancient Roman Arena! Everyone sits back and makes fun, and waits for some hapless soul to be thrown to the lions! Yuuuuck!
The networks LOVE them. Why? They cost almost NOTHING!! to produce, and every lowlife maniac in this country wants to participate or watch!
(Before everybody gets all hot; let me say that some of my favorite people and family watch one or the other of them...)

Finally, some stupid "reality" show (ok I think it was Survivor) is responsible for bringing That STUPID!! Elizabeth what's-her-name to light, and now I'm STUCK WITH HER on The View!! Dammit!

Ahem. Thank you for asking... }:>

Don't watch them. Like to shoot the sumb*tch who said "hey let's put this on the air & watch America's iq drop." Because that is exactly what is happening. I mean, look at the questions concerning "reality" shows (some are not even real but scripted!!!)

I hate them... Except Top Chef. I wouldn't call that a reality show though... more like a soap-opera food version of survivor.

I think that they are a fantastic idea. However, I also think that they're phony. The producer/director decides what is going to happen. Those new VH1 shows where they try to get women or men to fight over some semi-celeb are the worst.

reality show are an opportunity for talent ones to come forward, in the beginning they are free to show their talent but afterwards they are in the hands of masters of shows and their freedom is lost in ground
