No, it's inevitable that you will need reading glasses after age 40. Some ppl can wait longer (e.g. til 44 or 45 yrs of age).

I would say only this - I've been 20/400 for a good >17 years. I'm a lawyer by trade. Of all the lawyers I've known, only one (of a good 200) has 20/20 vision unaided. I got an appointment to USNA my senior year of high school but they said that with my vision (20/200), I'd more than likely get thrown out b/c of it before I even started. That was the end of a lot of things for me.

If you're concerned about your vision (as I've been) then don't get a computer job. You'll find your way. Pursue what you aspire to do.
