I have rather bad stretch marks on my stomach, breasts, hips, thighs, and my bum. These are from a growth spurt I had at 13 (now 21). My mother also has stretch marks from growing and pregnancy, but not nearly as bad as mine. I was wondering - are there any ladies out there whose pre-existing stretch marks got worse when they become pregnant? Or, did you get new ones in new places when you became pregnant? Is there any known, safe methods (such as rubbing in vitamin e oil) that you can do every night/day whilst pregnant to prevent new ones from appearing?

First off... your question at the top is not even mentioned in the bottom so I will try to address both.

First, no.

Second.. I image they will change. They will probably be dark and worse while pregnant but then will generally fade over time. Everyone's skin is different and if you are prone to stretch marks then I would guess that they would be worse but there is no way to tell until it happens. I have heard of all the so called "remedy's" but I have been told that they don't really work.

Good luck!

Hmm, well every woman is different, but I will tell you that I had stretch marks from losing a lot of weight when I was a teenager (when I hit my growth spurt I evened out so to speak) and they were very light (barely noticable on my lower tummy area) and during this pregnancy they darkened and I got more stretch marks because of the baby.

I have stretch marks on my hips and breasts from when I was 13 and grew a lot. I have had three kids and gained 50# with each of them but did not get any stretch marks from them. You really never know.

ok well one thing that so many people dont know is that stretch marks ARE hereditary! if it runs in your family then there is no real way to prevent them 100%. you can help diminish them after they are visible. i recommend a cream called Mederma, they sell it at walgreens for about 25 bucks, but works wonderful!!

you will probably get more and in all different places depending how you carry the baby. Creams help but it really depends on you skin. I used cocoa butter every day but still got them.

unfortunatly you will probably get more. i have gotten more with each pregnancy. most women do.
you can put lotion on every day to try and make the skin more elastic and not so dry, but there are no guarentees that will work.

good luck!
