I would like to create a small home intranet (local area website)for myself/my house. Please let me know the best way to implement a calendar and feedback form (that is, when the form is submitted the results are sent to a folder on my computer).

I am using/have Macromedia Dreamweaver 8, Microsoft FrontPage 2003 & Internet Information Services (IIS) for Windows XP Professional.

I am using IIS to host the website.

This is more for fun than anything else.

Thank-you for your suggestions.

To have an interactive calendar and a feedback form you need server scripting like ASP, or PHP, or javascript.

You have good HTML tools but not scripting tools, although Dreamweaver allows you to use them they aren't built into the core of it (last time I used it.)

Try searching http://www.scriptarchive.com/ or http://www.dynamicdrive.com/ for a calendar and feedback form. Download them and add them into your system would be the easiest way to get these.

If it were me I would simply use a CMS (content management system) there are many free opensource ones that include all sorts of really nice functions like these and you can get the whole family involved in making the site!
