I just bought an external harddrive.
I was wondering if i could install iTunes on my harddrive.
if i could, would i be able connect the ipod to ANY computer while i have the hard drive connected to that computer?

haha nope! I have all of my itunes songs on an external harddrive too!
however, you can't trick the "5 song rule" (the rule that only lets you put a song that you bought from itunes on 5 computers). But if you're working with songs that you didn't buy from itunes you should be fine!

To use iTunes from an external drive it needs to be bootable. You can move the music library to the external and have iTunes access it from there.

Hi. iTunes will require any computer to be authorized. Just select "Authorize this computer" when prompted. You can have up to 5 machines authorized.

should be able to, maybe easyer if they were converted to mp3, but should work
