I have a 1998 Chrysler Town & Country. And both the air and recirc buttons are blinking at the same time. The recirc works but my air doesn't blow cold. I tried a calibration test and that hasn't seemed to help at all.

the cooldown test has failed. it could be low on freon, the blend door in the heater box may not be working correctly, or the control head itself could be bad.

Did you do the cool down test. The calibration test moves all the doors from one stop to the other to calibrate each one. If they don't calibrate like they should, then the lights will blink. The cool-down test the AC system to see if the AC is cooling properly ( charged up etc.). If it doesn't, it will make the lights blink also There's a way to get codes out of it. but each year is different. These tests get pretty involved and you will need a manual to do them. If you ever replace the unit, it will flash untill it's been calibrated. Sometimes if you're battery goes bad and you replace the battery, the unit has to be re-calibrated to stop it from blinking. Good luck.

Sounds like a job for a Proffesional a/c repair facility. It sounds like the system is low on freon but this can only be checked by certified technicions. The blinking light sounds like the system turns on but does not build pressure fast enough so the safety system shuts it down to prevent damage to your car. Also if you have a leak it must be repaired under federal law or all the freon must be removed from the car, Most radiator repair shops are licenced to work on A/C. GOOD LUCK
