B Combustin requires oxygen. If there is no outside air for combustion, the available oxygen is used in the living space. This was found out the hard way in manufactured homes by several deaths. Manufactured housing furnaces are different than conventional houses due to the tightness of the structure. Manufactured housing is built almost too air tight so asphyciation occurs. In new housing 90+ furnaces are used and a combustion air supply is pipped to the furnace.
