No it will not. I have customers with VISS running on SP2. I still prefer EI6, though.

My gawd girl, please upgrade to SP2! It will do more to protect your computer then any anti-virus or security package that you could buy.

Windows has more holes (security) than a pound of Swiss cheese, and a lot of these were patched when SP2 was issued several years ago. And there has been numerous security updates from Redmond since then! My machine has over a hundred now.

Run, don't sashay, on over to Windows Updates (Tools > Windows Updates) and get 'em.

And you might want to consider dumping that Verizon Internet Security Suite package from Verizon. And it's monthly fee. Instead take the free MSN Premium option from Verizon.

MSN Premium will provide you free:

McAfee VirusScan
McAfee Personal Firewall
Webroot SpySweeper

along with some other nice non-security stuff like Microsoft Digital Image Suite. And you don't have to use the crappy MSN Browser, either.

About a $100 a year in free security software, a great deal that I have had for years.

It's Verizon's dirty little secret that can save you a fin a month.

Enjoy!

Nope. You can configure the Windows Firewall to OFF if you want. You can also UNINSTALL Internet Explorer 7 and go back to using IE6.

Windows XP with SP2 works great now. It is really awesome when you have 512MB of RAM.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

in case you have broadband you would be ok-probably 10 minutes or so. in case you have dial up nicely as others have suggested that's going to take incredibly a whilst. it variety of sounds like i keep in mind when I had XP that they had a option of ordering the replace on disc from them, that's relatively useful to envision into that.

You can only run one security program at a a time. Personally, get a different security program.
