its leaking from somewhere in the back, would a bad water pump leak alot of water? i noticed that the water outlet was leaking, but i pluged it with silicone, i need to know what it is leaking from. it drives good, and there is no sign of water in the oil. so what could it be?

im not driving it, it only drives for a cupple of blocks, then over heats and smokes. how would i check if the head gasket is good? im not a mechanic but i dont mind getting dirty and learning

It could be a hose, a gasket, or the water pump. You'll have to look until you see where it's coming from>

if it smokes out of your tailpipe you have a blown head gasket. it will also smell like fish. but it would leak a little slow and make your car run poorly. your water pump seal may be the problem. but then again you should see the water on the ground. the other problem may be that you are only adding water and not putting antifreeze in it, this will cause your car to overheat and would make the water steam out of your radiator cap and/or your overflow reservoir.

It might be your water pump. I was having to put water in my car every day for weeks before I figured out it was the water pump...

Check all the frost plugs, hoses & water pump

If you're not a mechanic, you may not be able to find it, and you almost certainly won't be able to fix it. Take it too a mechanic before it gets worse and destroys your engine.
