yes- get a large aquarium or box with glass sides. Make sure the sides are very tall (over a foot or so from the ground). You need a cover with very little holes in it, the mesh type aquarium covers are too big- the baby crickets can get through it. Actually, they can get through everything, so expect loose baby crickets. Vaseline smeared on the sides of the tank prevent most from escaping.

Now breeding them: Get female and male adults and put them in a half wet soil mixture (eco-earth coconut bedding works well) along with some vermiculite (most plant shops will have it) to keep in the moisture longer. The other half should be dry. Put plenty of cricket water (gel type), dog food, potatoes, and veggies (to get them healthy for your reptile/amphib) Your houses normal heat should be fine, as long as it is over 70 degrees most of the time. Anything lower, you want a heat bulb or pad, but make sure that the soil stays moist.

When I had my chameleon, I usually just bought 1000 sub adult crickets once a month. If I had some extra over that turned in to adults, I usually ended up with a lot of unwanted pinhead crickets. Crickets are extremely easy to breed, you should have no problem.

I have actually been reading about this recently and I found the link below usefull.
Most importanlty is a big space for them. They hate humidity but will dehydrate quickly so ventilation is the key and regular salad feedings.
Another thing to consider is the type of cricket you will be breeding. There are four commonly used in the UK (Brown house, Black field, banded and silent) and each have different requirements.
You may prefer to breed locust they have a larger gut content and are just as much trouble as crickets (remember you dont need to have the locust grow to adults so hoppers will be good).
All the best

May be a bad idea for one reason, if any of them get loose.. it's going to drive you insane. We actually had a cricket in my house and at night when everyone was sleeping it was so loud and annoying.
