i have an aunt living in NY, and as part of a life experience i wanna go out there and live with her for a year. ive tried lookin online but cant seem to find wot im lookin for. im tryin to get a work visa for a year! anyone able to help?? also, ive heard that on my irish passport i can go out for 3months at a time bofore bein deported, but does this mean i'l be deported after 3months forever???

Work Visas are not easy to get without sponsorship of a company. Check out the link above, it should answer most of your questions. There are companies that may help you find work in the US, you could look for one of them.
As for the 3 month thing. As an Irish national, you can travel to the US under the Visa Waiver program. You can stay up to 90 days without a visa but must return home after that to be eligible to return for an additional 90 days. It is illegal to work in the US without the proper visa. You would not be allowed to work if you are here on the VWP. If you have been arrested or convicted of any crime, you will probably be denied entry without a visa.
If you overstay your visit on the VWP, you run the risk of not being able to return even with a visa.
