They are the best in the NFL now, but not the best ever...And sheesh...The "Manning and Harrison" crowd must be like 10 year old kids...Obviously you may not be familiar with the BEST EVER because you are TOO YOUNG...The best ever has been and continues to be Joe Montana and Jerry Rice...

Montana to Rice was the keystone combination of the 80s. Maybe the Brady-Moss combination will be the tandem of the 00s, but it is way too early to say. Hopefully you will repeat this question in February 2010 after the Patriots third consecutive Super Bowl celebration. If we aren't having that conversation, then we have to keep Montana and Rice as the combo of choice.

To all you idiots who say they are cocky and overrated, stfu!!! I guess leading your team to 3 Super Bowls is overrated. This guy has put up great numbers with average players his whole career. Randy Moss (with the exception of the Raider years) has been one of the top five receivers in the league. I don't think you can say they're the best tandem ever, not yet. Lets see in a few years down the road. I think Montana-Rice and Manning-Harrison are the two best tandem's. It's awesome to see Brady with all these talented receivers!
GO PATS!!!!

Yes! And if they go 88 mph they can travel through space and time and save the world!!!!! They don't even need an offensive line!!!! Moss could just hike the ball to Brady then Brady could shed all the tacklers and throw the ball back to Moss for a touchdown worth 24 points because they are just soooooo awesome!!!

I'm a Pats fan but I say it's Peyton Manning to Marvin Harrison. But give it time - Tom and Randy have only been together 3 games and it seems like there is no ceiling on how high this tandem can soar.

Way too early to ask such a question. Plus, these guys haven't even played a full season together. For this question to stick, a QB/WR should play at least 4 full seasons together on the same team. So, to answer your question, I say no. Montana to Rice, Young to Rice, Manning to Harrisson -- those guys make the grade.

Culpepper-Moss was just as good as Brady-Moss, he was unguardable back then. If the Patriots went on a long enough losing streak, Moss would start whining and sucking again just like Minnesota and Oakland.

Montana to Rice by far......unless the patriots would keep the team together long enough to win 3 or more superbowls (impossible in this era), Brady to Moss cannot measure up no matter how great in one or even 2 seasons.
Just my 2 cents.....

What, after 3 games, they're already the greatest ever?
What about these?
Aikman-Irvine, Montana-Rice, Young-Rice...heck, even Palmer-Johnson. Oh, and um, what about the Manning-Harrison (most TDs ever, and the best chemistry between QB and WR ever)

Montanna- Rice............although im too young to have been able to see em they have to be the best...
