This is a great idea and I think it will be beneficial to a lot of people. Good for you. My suggestion on editing is very small, but I think it will flow better, I'll put changes in brackets:
...would be beneficial to this school by providing a safe environment for diverse students{, to discuss issues concerning their community, to meet likeminded individuals, and become more educated {about discrimination and how to confront it}}.
I hope that helps, again, I think you are doing a very brave and great thing. I'd sign as well.

That's so good, I hope you don't mind if I steal it from you! I think it's amazing that you're starting a GSA, good for you! Also, it looks good on a college application if you can prove somehow that you spearheaded the movement to create one at your school. I admire you for taking the initiative, go you!

I think it's fine, as long as you can, in good conscience, substitute the name of any other behavior or belief and have it make sense. What about "racist student alliance?" Would a "Biblical Sexuality Alliance" be OK? If you can't, then you you need to reconsider. I am not anti-gay or racist, just asking that the same rules apply across the board.

Nice and professional. I'd sign it. Yes, like-minded I think is better, though.
