The bicycle! Come on Saria, take a ride with me someday and tell me it's not! All those hills - riding down them - and (in a lower gear) riding back up them again! Fantastic.

Paperclip. No, I'm serious. I have a desk job and we've all agreed for years that without the paperclip, work as we know it would come to a hault. Papers would lay strewn about aimlessly, files would go into disarray and all would have ripped corners where we stapled and unstaples.
Either that or I'd say those plastic inserts that go into the paint trays. Ya know, those little trays that you dip your rollers across and in. However, with the disposible plasticy insert, five bucks saves hours of clean up time and clogged drains.

The fridge is nice. Thank god we aren't hauling blocks of ice around like the old way.
But, medicine is the one that makes the biggest difference. I doubt I would still be alive without modern medical care.

SatNav, I drive all over the UK to city centres for work, and now I have one, I will never go back to maps (I use a TomTom One).
After that, it would have to be CCTV, but I'll let you know about that one for sure on 4th Oct.
