Let's review. You couldn't look up the correct spelling of the General's name. You also can't spell a lot of simpler words correctly. Yet, you believe the people behind the ad which ran in the NY Times speak for millions of people. Move on dot org only speaks for George Soros, the fellow who funds it. It gives aid and comfort to the poor dopes who are still time locked in the 1960s and think the Vietnam War is still going on. Yet, you think that General Petraeus (that's how it's spelled) isn't telling the whole truth. What truth do you want to hear? That we are fighting a different kind of war? The General already knows that and has said that. He is the co-author of the current doctrinal manual on counter-insurgency warfare.
The only thing you did get right in my estimation was your admission that the ad was "way in left field (sic)". That's where that organization is that placed that ad: out on the extreme left of the political spectrum.

Ummm the critics who already decided they want a defeat in Iraq just so republicans look bad, or the persons who actually has been in Iraq for more than a quickie visit, if even that. Who should I believe? Hmmmmm. Those who were not blessed with Saddam's favortism are unquestionably better off today, where they only have to worry about the random car bomb or beheading, under Saddam whole families or villages disappeared. The people siding with foreign countries actively supporting insurgent/terrorist activities with arms training and intelligence, ARE traitors, giving aid and comfort to the enemy killing OUR people in the Middle East. If the Middle East doesn't want the USA there, then why doesn't the Middle East get out of the USA? If teh stupid NIMBYs and nature nuts let us drill the oil reserves on our coastlines and in Alaska we wouldn't need foreign oil, but it might ruin the view from somene's beach house, and THAT is more important than the lives of our soldiers to our Congress.

No! For one, he's over there, and has been in several wars, fighting for us. How is that a "betrayal?" Second, I'm sure that info has classified and sensitive information. Letting "us" see it, means letting the enemy see it. I just got finished watching the first part of Ken Burns series on WWII. I can just imagine Eisenhower releasing his plans for D-Day or something to let the people decide what was best. We'd be speaking German now. We've got the truth about this war; then them finish the job!

PS: You can't call their general a betrayer on the one hand and "bless" them on the other. You people can't have it both ways!

It never ceases to amaze me just how ridiculous the American public can be. Do you honestly believe you have the right to be told all of the battlefield strategy & maneuverings? Do you really belive that Generals fighting battles must tell the american public their every move and future plans??? The enemy would love that, don't you think? It would be a great way to kill more American soldiers.
