NOPE, eff those points...as a matter of fact when i'm on the cusp of a new level, i ask then answer and ask then answer just to go in and out of the level so i keep getting congratulations you've reached level __ emails over and over again :)

Yes I just made it to level 3, and I had 1,001 points...then when I asked a question (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ai.Ud.Cyvp1XIRTLy7dRFuvsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20070923190735AAxNfKz ) to see how I should celebrate...I went back down to level 2. ;( *tear* So I had to hurry up and answer a few questions to get back up to level 3! lol

when i first started i didn't want to lose 5 pts but then i realized when i pick best answer i get 3 back.

No,you get 3 back when you select the best answer and then asnswer another question for another two. takes about a minute if that.
