You don't start feeding your fry until they're free swimming, which is also the time you need to remove your male from them

you will know when you can start to feed them, when their yolk sack is completely absorbed

Hope that helps
Good luck

Until the fry are free swimming (go from this position | to this position _), which is about three days, they will feed off their egg sacks. Once they become free swimming it is time to remove the male and start feeding. Baby betttas are tiny too small for most foods, and to compound your problem they will usually only eat things that are living and move around (they just ignore anything that doesn't move). They are WAY too small to eat cut up bloodworms (I haven't even moved my 5 week old bettas to frozen food), and most will be too small for even baby brine shrimp. I would look to try and get a culture of microworms, they are the right size to fit in the mouth of new born bettas. Also try to avoid green water/infusoria cultures as it is hard to distinguish between good and bad bacterias and the bad ones will wipe out your entire spawn. If worse comes to worse you can try to hatch baby brine shrimp (you can buy the eggs at most pet stores and they have instructions on how to culture them), but they need to be fed as soon as they hatch, after one day they will get too big for even your biggest fry. Once you make it through the first week to ten days the fry should be able to eat baby brine shrimp without too much trouble. Stick to live foods and keep your water clean. Good luck.

Once the yolk sack is gone, they won't last more than a day or two without food. Try hard-boiled egg yolk strained through a handkerchief. As they grow larger, you can just pinch pieces of yolk between your fingers. Very nutritious, and inexpensive.
