SINCE THE TEMPERATURE IS HOTTER AT OR NEAR THE EQUATOR THE LIKELIHOOD OF CONVECTIVE STORMS FORMING IS MUCH MORE LIKELY AND SINCE HEAT RISES THE STORMS WILL GO HIGHER WHICH TENDS TO MAKE THEM STRONGER. THEY ALSO TEND TO FORM ON A DAILY OR TWICE DAILY PATTERN
