The rooster crows because the sun comes up. If the rooster thinks the opposite is true, that it is causing the sun to come up, that is pretty conceded. Someone who thinks they are all that, center of the universe.

This describes a high degree of vanity. The rooster is the boss man of the business and like many bosses it goes to their heads or gets cocky.
