What makes cons so pround to be a con? What makes them think they are right about anything?

Ever notice a con thinks that just by saying he's a con, that somehow that automatically makes him right about everything?

Where does THAT idea come from?

I thought "conservative" meant "small government", Bushies are the OPPOSITE of Conservative.

Well first of all, the only people that call President Bush a conservative are Democrats. I am a conservative, voted for President Bush twice, and have never considered him a true conservative. The reason we think we are right as far as government style is concerned is easy. The liberal leadership of the modern Democrat all have a common guide book.....The Communist Manifesto, co-written by that lover of freedom Karl Marx. Five of the ten policies that Mr. Marx saw as necessary for a successful communist regime are talking points for the Democrats. These include: Abolition of private property rights, eliminating individuality in favor of the common good, progressive taxes, government education, and elimination of competition in private enterprise.
No one can argue that the human iteration of communism(as opposed to theoretical communism) is compassionate, fair, or good, yet that is what the liberal leadership of the U.S. wants....look at their speeches, it is obvious. Although liberals avoid direct quotes, the meaning is clear. All five of these goals are a part of every campaign speech given by the leading Democrat candidates.
This one area alone makes conservatives "right" on many more issues than Democrats.

Having said what I said above, I have much more respect for liberals than I do moderates. Moderates need to see which way the wind is blowing to make up their minds. In my mind moderates are spineless. At least with a liberal, you know where they stand. Now having said that, I have little respect for those that call themselves progressives, as they are liberals with a weak spine, they are liberals, but don't want to be thought of as one.

Questions like that are the problem. Do you call yourself Liberal? As in...love and peace? Sure seems like hate to me.

No one is always correct and not being radical left does not make one conservative. I'd rather be called traditional than conservative. I like the way our founding fathers felt it should be. Peace

libs and cons are the same. both think they are right about everything as does everyone with their political views.
it can make for interesting or sometimes funny if they are extreme

I don't say I'm a con and I'm right about everything just because I oppose the Libs who are in fact wrong about everything.

Bush has enjoyed so much support because he gave the liberals every spending request they asked for.
An expensive way to operate...but it worked for him.
