Maybe, but we would need a brain scanning machine the size of a quarter to see. Besides, the first question should have been do they have dreams, because nightmares are just very bad dreams.

Depends, there are some insects that don't sleep, they work pretty much constantly until they die. I would believe that they would not due to their lack of cognitive thought.
