You know, I have long used a lil' trick to get over the Monday Morning Blues; MY "Monday Mornings" mentally start on Sundays at 6 p.m. That way, I actually start my Mondays, by sleeping on the job for 12 hours first! ;-) :-)

A good start is to sleep well. (I've been into this before, so I won't be redundant.) If you wake at dawn, take time to truly look at it, it's glorious & refreshing. Put your inner smile on your face. You can never KNOW what this day may turn out to be! It begins with your attitude. With my optimistic attitude, I in a way MAKE it the kind of day I want it to be. I have an image of people flipping through calender pages--Oh gee, it's Monday! I'll just have to endure until Friday! Racing through time--doesn't it seem to pass swiftly enough as it is? Whatever day of the week, I see them as a day--I have my morning coffee, enjoy it. Listen to the birds awakening. I get up very early, & dawn, & sunrise are joyous to me.
What is the "blow"? Apprehension? Hard work to do? Well, by gum, do you have a choice? I think you do.
Edit: I hope everyone listens, watches the video of --as always so beautiful. The experience a better "answer" than I believe any of us could put into words.

Most people are "escapists' from life`s monotony. For them the monday morning expectation is NOT what to do on monday but to expect the coming Friday evening. "How to push 5 days from Monday?" weighs heavily on them.
If you had an agenda for the week, that you did well and yet you could not finish on Friday you will itching to start early on monday. How to get this?
Whatever you do , do with a lot of enthusiasm. Insert some Off routine things in the week`s agenda. Decide to do just one good thing each day. It could be anything even insignificant, but do it.
The very thoughts of these new things , to be introduced , will spur you to a great week let alone a great monday. For this week, let me suggest that you write and post an article on " The inversion of the mind" .
Good Luck.

Always seems to me that Monday is a new week full of expectations and wonder. The term Morning has broken however refers to the the LIGHT chasing way the darkness of the night. Light being good, and night covering evil.
Ah yes....it is a wonderful sight to see morning coming. Even in our dreams we dream of it, and in the mist of the horrors of all man can do we welcome the dawning of a new day. and...in the final of final the hope that once our bodies are laid in the dark, cold earth, we will awaken "Alas to a new thought, a new light that will lead us into a new day, on the other side of death."

He-he, Garfield's favourite topic. I hate Mondays too, I always oversleep, don't want to go anywhere. If I could only sleep till Tuesday! When I used to live in Israel, where half of the Friday and Saturday are weekend days (Shabbat), I had the same problem with Sunday. It doesn't matter how you call it - it's just... Monday!!! I'm so glad, that I'm sick now and I don't have to go to work. 8-)

When I was a young whippersnapper I dreaded Monday mornings....I was draggin', then one day wham out of the blue it hit me......What was the problem? I lived life for the weekends not realizing I was leaving a whole lot of time out of the picture. I learned you need to make the most of every day.....and the attitude you take to it has about 80% of what you make out of it. Since my great epifhany I bounce out of bed ready to meet the morning whatever day it is, cause it is another chance to make the most out of life.
