You also need to let the IRS know of this, otherwise, you will be on the hook for all this as well

Thats not a real good reason for divorce. You sure there isn't something else and you're just saying its because of the taxes? I know a divorce lawyer, and he's told me of lots of reasons for couples splitting, this is a first.

Maybe you need to talk to him if that is the real reason. Maybe he'll pony up the dough.

Good luck.

That is NOT a valid reason for a divorce. I suggest you move out and live on your own first. Watch his reaction. If he really love you, he will pay the taxes and get you back home

well sweetie at this point you need to see how much you owe as a couple than make payment arrangements. than from here on out file married but file separate this way you are not responsible for him not file his taxes, but you filed yours. if you and him have any assets IRS will be taking them, IRS will all garnish paychecks, freeze bank accounts. so please dont ignore them and think that they will go away because they wont. call them and see how much you owe. GodBless

Go to Youtube and watch Aaron Russo's "Freedom to Fascism", and decide if there is really a law that your husband has to pay taxes. When you come up with the answer, reconsider your dellimma. (wink)

I would think that there was someway to file your taxes seperately so that when he gets caught then it will be just him in trouble. Unless that isn't the only reason that you want to divorce him.
