36.4 weeks pregnant.... if i was leaking amniotic fluid, what color would it be? when i went pee, and wiped i?

am "leaking" (or whatever to call it) a fluid that is like water, but it looks like the color of skim milk.... the watered down milk look. (kind of hard to explain!) what could this be? i go to my OB tomorrow afternoon, but i'm hoping for an answer before that, just to clear my mind. I noticed this "leaking"/discharge last night, my underwear were constantly staying wet/damp, so i used a mirror to look "down there" and see, and thats when i saw it as this milky white liquid.

Sorry for the dumb question, just hoping someone knows what it is.

At this point you're going to be producing mucus and natural lubricants like CRAZY. I dont care if you've never been a 'wet' person before, when it comes to pregnancy you can just be ready to wear a pad.

You wouldnt leak just while sitting on the toilet. You'd leak a little here, and a little there, especially when going up the stairs or getting up after having sat a long time. And it wouldnt go on for days, and it wouldnt stop and then start again in a few hours. Its not like that.

I have been just where you are, at the same week too.

You'll have more discharge if you recently had sex too. Its totally normal.

It's just discharge. I'm 38 weeks prego with my 2nd and have the same thing. It's normal to have an increase in discharge in late pregnancy. Amniotic fluid is more like water, not a milky substance like discharge. Like an above post stated, if it was amniotic fluid you would be leaking more often than that.

if your not sure get clean pad and put that on lie down for about an hour and then get up walk around for a bit and check pad.if pad wet and has a sweet kinda smell probably leaking so go see your doctor or hospital. you may just be having a bit of discharge but if your waters have broken and you ignore it you could be risking infection as the sac is no longer sealed.

Sounds to me like discharge. It really picks up towards the end of pregnancy. I had to wear a pad I had so much. If you are concerned about it then have your OB do a test on the dishcharge to make sure it is not amniotic fluid. Good luck!

if your water IS leaking you need to get in to the doc because you are risking an infection.They have a very simple test they can do for that they just roll a Q-Tip in the fluid and it turns some color...I suggest going in to the hospital and at the very LEAST call the doctor NOW!

It just sounds like a normal discharge.. it is very normal to get a whitish discharge, especially later in pregnancy. Amniotic fluid is more like water... just wear a panty liner and tell your doctor tomorrow. They can check to make sure that it IS just a normal discharge.

Well it could be your water's leaking but it could also be your body getting ready to dispense your mucous plug. Your waters can be many colors. But usually they are clear. If you see any discoloration make sure to tell your doctor. Sounds like your body is getting ready for labor though. I am 40 weeks and am having something very similar happening to me. Good luck!

my waters were clear - like water...sounds like maybe both discharge and fluid...i was always leaking somthing my whole pregnancy, it was never watery until my water broke, it felt like i was peeing myself...so if yours is watery, it could be fluid. or maybe the mucus plug? just suggestions

That sounds like normal discharge when you are pregnant. But ask your OB.
