With hockey season coming close something crossed my mind. Did the duck actually win the cup, or was the game kind of fixed? I m not sure but loyal canucks fans think this is true taking in account lowangos ( I spelt his name wrong didnt I) skills and the unusual performance displayed by team. Im not sure if this is true but I want some opinions. ( And no, im not some canucks fan thats a sore looser)

And how was the game fixed?
And which game was fixed? After all, Anaheim played several games after Vancouver was eliminated

No, the Ducks really won the Cup. That wasn't fixed.

But in the 2005 Cup series between the Flames and Lightning, I do believe that the Flames won it in game 6 on a "disputed" goal that was disallowed, which then the Lightning won later on in game 6, and in game 7.

No, the NHL is not "fixed". Unless the right combination of things happens - such as that series between Calgary and Tampa Bay. The commissioner of the NHL controls the NHL, unfortunately, and it is my opinion that he told the referees to help Tampa Bay win in that series if the series became close as to who would win or lose the Stanley Cup. Actually, the Ducks did rightfully win the Cup - but since the Flames-Lightning series I've never looked at the NHL with the same opinions.

i'm pretty sure that Bettman awarded Ted Nolan the true, real Stanley Cup in a private ceremony. everything else was just staged to keep all the Californians happy so they wouldn't jump up and down and whine all at the same time, and consequently cause the state to fall off the mainland and into the ocean. wise choice, Bettman

by the way, 9/11 DID happen
so did the Holocaust
and we DID land on the moon.

I was surprised the Canucks even beat Dallas. There was no doubt in my mind that the Ducks would walk all over Vancouver, and that's exactly what happened. I will admit that Luongo is godlike, but he is human and no one can maintain perfection forever.

unusual performance? it was the playoffs of coarse they were playing different. look if you want real information don't go to die hard fans all you're gonna get is one sided conspiracy theories.

the answer to your question is yes the ducks won it fair and square. Teemu's name is finally on the cup and a new season is here time to look ahead.

I think the Washington Mets really won the NBA Finals so they get the Stanley Cup.

They actually won. It was by no means fixed.

>unusual performance

What's so unusual about it? They were the better team. With Prongs, Teemu, Andy mac, Nieds, JS, an awesome shut down line of course they won the SC.

Dude get over it Luongo's fall at the end of the game summed that hole series up in an single act. Look it up if you don't know what I'm talking about. (They'd never have beaten the Wings either)

It's spelt...Luongo.

I think sometimes that it has been rigged but from what I saw, it looked like genuine hockey to me. Hooray for the Ducks!

Hockey is one of the only sports that is not fixed. Anehiem won the cup based on their skills.

Now if your wanting to watch a faked and setup sport, then i suggest wrestling, if you even consider that a sport.
