Very few....I went to a new one on the northern outskirts of Beirut .
Typical one stop centre but totally lacking any character as you say & nothing like the experience of shopping in a souk .

In Tripoli there is a centre called Spinneys which is the closest to a Western centre...I really hope it never catches on !

we have big malls...but they have character...lol...Malls in Lebanon are so different from those in the USA...City Mall and ABC Achrafiye are really huge and the new one Beirut Mall...they are really big, bigger than some malls I saw in the US but different...I can't explain how...they have character...there's always a theme and something new going on...a display of some kind depending on the season or the time of the year...etc.

For you to understand what I'm talking about you should visit...when shall I pick you up at the airport????
