Anyone else bitter that he is going to be out for at least 4 weeks and probably not at his best for a week or so after that?

If you didn't hear, he went to hang up his skate, missed, and dropped it on his wrist cutting 3 tendons. Talk about bad luck for him (and several thousand fantasy hockey players.)

Sorry guys, I was out all day, didn't see that question posted.

I'm not complaining at all about you asking about him again, but there's some comments here:

Hmm. Know of any Irish-inspired things he could do for better luck? Lol.

Indeed, players of fantasy hockey who picked him up = not happy. I don't have him in any pools. Maybe I'll think twice in the future since he's such a black cat, haha.

I was thinking about this more today and came to the conclusion that it seems weird at the same time. I just wouldn't think that a sharp skate dropping a few feet onto his wrist would have the sharpness nor the force to rupture 3 tendons. Valid thought I think. Extra sharp/heavy skates or girly wrists.

Yup, Erica beat me to my own post (damn, shes good)

ACTUALLY, what happended is while he was talking to another teammate, he slammed his locker too hard, that forced the skate to become unhooked. The skate fell about two feet and sliced him on the wrist.

Just to repeat what I said in the other post, Dan Boyle actually had his house burn to the ground after game 3 or 4 (i think it was) of the Stanley Cup Final

Hes just unlucky!

Losing Danny Boyle is the equivalent of losing Joe Thorton. Both of them just make the offense click.

This not only hurts my fantasy team, but even worse my Bolts. This might be the impetus for a trade. They will need a power play quarterback from the defense.

I was disappointed when I heard about the injury especially since he is on my fantasy team. I'm not dropping him though because I have faith that when he does return to the line up he'll make up for lost time. :)

I had him in my pool last year...luckily my pool doesn't get picked until the day the RS starts

So...not bitter, but Tampa fans have my sympathy, he's a great player for that team

I really feel for him. I mean that is a really freak accident, like something from a "Final Destination" movie. Brrrrrr... freaky.
