I am 75 but fortunately not even thinking of going into a senior center and that's one reason why. Nobody tells me that I can't eat pies or dougnuts or anything else I fancy. I also will live a lot longer. Ever heard the saying " A little bit of what you fancy does you good!

Do the kids bother you? If they do chances are they bother other tenants as well. If that is the problem you should communicate you concern(s) to the manager in a respectful way. You might be able to convince other tenants to sign on a letter to the manager or owner as well.If your mobile home park has a tenant's committee or some other tenant's organization they might be able to help you. Small changes like them having the kids play farther away from the mobile homes can make a big difference in your quality of life and I don't think you should worry about the legality of the situation. Because this person is the manager I doubt you would get anywhere with requesting that he be held to the same rules as tenants.

They should be allowed to eat whatever they want within limits. I hope the senior citizens will have the common sense to limit the amount of anything that could be bad for them. At their age, they have darn few pleasures. Why totally deny them a donut or a piece of pie now and then? I'm speaking as a 70 year old who hopes she can afford a half way decent place to live when I cant take care of myself anymore.

If you live long enough to be a resident of a senior center than you should be allowed the choice of having a donut or not. Let them enjoy life!

Well, I know everyone is health conscious, but if the home serves coffee and a donut in the a.m. and a pie for dessert for dinner, I don't see the problem. This type of food is nostalgic for the old folks, so just so nobody is allow to overindulge, I think it's okay. Hopefully, they are not filled with trans fats and preservatives.

No - they should not ban donuts .Yes - give the seniors back their goodies . . This is still a free country . It's absolutely appalling that anyone is told they can't eat donuts if that's what they want to do . That's Hillary Clinton's
territory : New York . Heaven help us if she gets elected we'll all be told what to eat ; drink ; read; write and listen to ..AND as much as Mrs. Clinton dislikes uniforms - I bet she'd take donuts from cops , too .

The way I see it, if these residents are in a senior home, they've lived their lives long enough to be able to decide for themselves whether or not they want a donut. They're not idiots, they're just old. They're quite aware donuts aren't great for you, but in my opinion they've earned the right to eat a damn donut if they so choose.

All I can tell you is this: When I end up in a "senior home", they better hope I am witless, immobile, and mute, because God help anyone who tells me I can't have a screaming pie or donut if I want it!

The senior center should be a place of great debauchery. Pies, donuts, whiskey, heroin, prostitutes, you name it, those poor bastards should have access to it.

In all seriousness the home is probably trying to control blood sugar levels in diabetic and pre-diabetic patients.
