It's like $5 for a "small" popcorn, which is bigger than most people would eat..
and then $5.25 for a bag twice as large
and $5.50 so big that you could feed 20 people with it!
I wonder why I can't just pay $2 for a handfull of popcorn and call it good.

I couldn't tell ya why the price gap between sizes is so small, but what I can tell you is that the way theaters make money is from concessions. The money made from tickets all goes to the film companies... so they have to jack the prices up to afford to stay in business even though a bag of popcorn costs about three cents to make.

oh because they want your money and most people are in a hurry to watch the show and then they pay anything without realizing that their wallets are being raped.
